Canvas at South Brisbane

Canvas at South Brisbane

Canvas at South Brisbane creates a new Build-to-Rent vertical community, capturing the desire for residents to engage with the development through extensive shared amenity and a strong integration into Brisbane’s arts and cultural precinct.

The Cordelia Street development reflects the gentrification of Brisbane’s South and West End from a light commercial and industrial precinct to a high density residential and retail hub. Located in close proximity to the CBD the site offers an abundance of lifestyle options for residents.

Overall, the design is defined by two building halves; the ‘city’ tower and the ‘sunset’ tower. The eastern ‘city’ tower captures the spectacular views of the CBD and the Brisbane River. The western ‘sunset’ tower is orientated towards Mt Coot-Tha and the Taylor Range. These two sides are defined by a change in the glazing colour, and a physical break in which nestle a series of cascading landscaped planters.

Communal spaces have been designed to promote interaction between residents and create a sense of community within the building.

Targeting singles, couples and small families, the development is configured to host 364 apartments across the 30 level building. The rooftop shared amenity located on Level 29 is specifically curated for residents. Each space has been designed to create a unique and bespoke experience and includes a lounge, commercial kitchen, indoor and outdoor cinema, community garden, co-working spaces, games room, gym, and a juice bar. The centre piece is the infinity edge swimming pool, stretching across the building north to south.
