Brookwater Village Leisure Centre
Cottee Parker Architects designed the Brookwater Leisure Centre to provide high quality recreation facilities in keeping with the standard of the golf course, clubhouse and residential area adjoining.
It contains a resort pool, a two lane training pool and amenities, two tennis courts, a covered barbecue pavilion and active recreation area, and carparking.
Elements are placed end on to directly address the main elevation of the Clubhouse creating a strong visual link without presenting a wide potentially dominating frontage to the golf course. It instead presents the minimum intrusion to the course and best matches the existing site contour.
The axial spine links the entry of the Leisure Centre directly to the outdoor terrace of the Clubhouse and feature stairs and waterfalls internally link all of the elements.
Dramatically slanted roofs, stone cladding and lush landscaping cohesively bond new structures and elements with the existing built and natural environments and subtle specialist feature lighting will provide an exciting night time image when viewed from the Clubhouse terrace or dining room.
