Dan leads the Melbourne studio and has worked with Cottee Parker continuously for over 25 years. He is now on the national Board of Directors. He brings a wealth of experience in creating multi-faceted mixed-use developments, retail, commercial, multi-residential, and education projects which carefully balance memorable architecture with commercial outcomes.

He has been involved in many of our signature projects, and was an integral part of Cottee Parker Architects’ expansion into Melbourne and Perth.

Dan’s strong collaboration skills ensure his leadership role within the design team, from inception right through to completion and post occupancy phases. He leads the team’s exploration of the desirability, viability, and feasibility of each project to ensure a good balance across all drivers. What results are socially and economically sustainable spaces with deep empathy with the end users, and which respond to their unique needs and expectations.

Currently Dan is part of the Precincts Committee for the Victorian Chapter of the Property Council, formulating the Council’s position for advocacy to the State Government. This position capitalises on his passion for mixed use projects, be they residential, community, or business led.

Dan is also currently leading CPA’s Quality Management Unit and Documentation Unit, creating policy and procedures for CPA’s project Quality Assurance (corporate administration, project documentation and delivery), Project Management (including cost planning, time and budget management, project risk), Stakeholder Management. (visioning), and Subconsultant Management.
